CROP Walk 2020 Update

The CROP Board meet this week on ZOOM. As you know, the Awards Banquet has been cancelled, however, checks will be mailed to the various Food Pantries soon. Plans are still open for Coordinator’s Day on August 13th at Glenwood UM 4:00-6;00 PM. It may look a little different, but some exciting things are coming together. Our fingers are crossed that we may be able to actually Walk on September 27th for the Erie County CROP Walk. However, if that is not possible, plans continue to have a vehicle parade. Stay tuned as plans come to fruition. God Bless and Stay Safe! Please be advised that the Awards Luncheon scheduled for April 28th has been cancelled at this time and we will advise if and when we have a new date. STAY SAFE.

Awards Luncheon 2019

Our Awards Luncheon was held on April 30, 2019 at St. John’s Lutheran Church!  We gathered all of our walk groups and local benefiting agencies to celebrate their hard work and the dollars they raised. We’re so thankful to our amazing sponsors, volunteers, and walkers!  A total of $16,000 was distributed to 24 area food pantries.  Rev. James Haas, Board Chair, introduced our featured speaker, Mayor Joseph Schember.  Andrew Gifford, our representative from Church World Service brought us up to date on the 50th-anniversary celebration of  CROP WALK.  The Erie County Crop Walk will celebrate 44 years.
