until the Crop Walk
Many Congregations and Organizations participated by walking at the Peninsula or around their neighborhoods with great success. See “Cropwalk 2020 Photo Gallery” for some of the groups who participated.
Our Awards Luncheon was held on April 30, 2019 at St. John’s Lutheran Church! We gathered all of our walk groups and local benefiting agencies to celebrate their hard work and the dollars they raised. We’re so thankful to our amazing sponsors, volunteers, and walkers! A total of $16,000 was distributed to 24 area food pantries. Rev. James Haas, Board Chair, introduced our featured speaker, Mayor Joseph Schember. Andrew Gifford, our representative from Church World Service brought us up to date on the 50th-anniversary celebration of CROP WALK. The Erie County Crop Walk will celebrate 44 years.
If you or your congregation was not able to participate in the Erie Crop Hunger Walk, it is not too late. 25% of funds donated come back to Erie County for distribution to local Food Pantries. Make sure you give to your congregation or a team so they get credit. GIVE TODAY! https://www.crophungerwalk.org/eriepa
